Karin Humbolt
Welcome friends, I'm Karin!
As a commercial real estate broker and appraiser, and financial planner, I've helped thousands of clients and customers accumulate wealth, expand their real estate portfolios, and reach their financial goals. My specialties are in the areas of college planning, retirement and estate planning.
On the 4th of July, at the age of 19, while a passenger riding on the back of a motorcycle, in the California high desert, I was in a head-on crash with a car. At the moment just before impact, I thought, “My life is over.” However, I was very fortunate, fate intervened, and I walked away with some cuts and bruises. From that experience, I came to realize that every day is a new day, a new start, and a new beginning!
My books were inspired by a money management seminar I taught to a teacher-client’s 10th grade class. The day of the seminar I was besieged with questions from teenagers like you. That day I learned a valuable lesson. Teenagers have as much curiosity, questions, and misconceptions about money and investments as adults!
I create these financial planning products to empower you to achieve the life you want to live.
Financial goals are achievable with determination and persistence. Know that knowledge is power and a life-long process, whether you want financial security for yourself, your child, or grandchild. I'm very happy to have you join me. May my knowledge help you

"Humbolt's practical book originally grew out of a lecture delivered to high school students. This guide stresses the importance of long-term planning to achieve a solid financial future." "Illustrated with easy-to-follow examples, the book encourages readers to set, review, and frequently adjust their financial goals; and teaches them how to develop and live within a budget. It also highlights the benefits of regular savings, and clearly explains the pros and cons of investments such as mutual funds and real estate." -Criticas
Karin Humbolt, author of I Want To Be Rich! A Teenager's Modem To Money, "parents should get their teenagers financially involved in the family.... a child who works or gets an allowance should be encouraged to chip in, maybe by paying for entertainment expenses. The children should also understand where the family's money is coming from and what it takes to support them." -Sunday New York Times
